For me personally, the ideal custom design brief is "do what you want." So for this skatedeck order, I did exactly that. Laura dropped me a quick message on Instagram and three days later, the deck arrived at my door.
I rarely sketch my designs before I start the actual work and this one was no different. The only thing I decided beforehand was the colour palette, the rest just flowed naturally into this final design.
First I sanded the entire deck down to its original turquoise wood colour. Then I sprayed the blue part, hand-painted the flowers and freehanded all the details and gold flowers. I absolutely loved doing this one because it had been a while since I did my last skate decks for Sleeper Skates in Lombok. They're one of my favourite canvases!
