Deciding how to honour the ashes of a loved one is a deeply meaningful choice, one that carries profound emotional weight. I can create a personalised artwork with the ashes to celebrate and commemorate their life and legacy in a unique way.

By incorporating the ashes of your dear person or pet into a custom artwork, you have a beautiful and lasting tribute that you can cherish in your home every day.

I've created some very personal pieces for you in these past years and it's always such a privilege to translate a dear memory, life event or experience into art.

Recently I was contacted by a client who sadly lost her Dad last year and asked if I could incorporate some of his ashes into an ocean-inspired artwork. When she visited, we ended up talking for two hours. She told me all about her Dad and the memories she has of him. It was such an honour when later that day, she let me know that she fully trusted me with her dad's ashes.

Upon finishing the piece, I told her that I didn't think it would be appropriate to sign my name on the artwork as I usually do. My client and her husband discussed it, and suggested I'd write "Love Always" instead; this is how her Dad always signed letters and cards to her.

Another client recently came to me with a special request; she asked me to create a 55cm sunset and sunrise inspired artwork using the ashes of both of her parents. Using various pink and peach shades, light blues and warm yellow, I embedded the ashes into layers of cloud-like colour gradients with colour-shifting pigments that come out to play when the light hits. This piece was titled by my client and her sisters; "My Coat of Many Colours", after her parents' favourite Dolly Parton song.

I always create these artworks with the utmost care and respect; any unused ashes are safely returned to you along with the completed artwork.

If this resonates with you and you'd like to discuss the options, please contact me and feel free to share your story.
