OPAL CLOUDS: 4 NEW ROUND ARTWORKS

I am so excited to be releasing four new round abstract paintings: "Opal Clouds"

The colours in these 50cm circles are something you haven't really seen from me yet and it has been exciting not using as much contrast as I usually do. I wanted the impact to be in their softness and subtleness, with all their intricate details hidden in each layer. Using silver and lots of iridescent pigments, you'll see the colours shift depending on the time of day and as you walk past.

You'll find a soft blend of pastel pinks, lilac and baby blue with layered details in champagne, silver and rose pink metallic. The colour-changing gradients remind me of giant opals and the fluffy pastel skies I've been seeing lately at last light; that magical cotton-candy sky before the sun makes a final bold appearance and sinks into the horizon.

A reminder to keep looking up and catch these moments of magic.

Two of these new pieces are made on floating panels (sitting 1.5cm from the wall) and the other two have a closed edge (sitting flat against the wall). The closed edge panels are more expensive to make, so these prices are slightly higher. The edges of all four pieces are painted white.
