Well, where to start?
Last Tuesday was the opening of Nina Brooke and my exhibition "Places Called Home" at Joy Editions Gallery. A bunch of our friends, family and new faces gathered to view our new collection in person and it was such an amazing evening! Seeing my biggest ever series and artworks displayed so beautifully, surrounded by people I love felt quite special. The old stone walls and lighting set off the colours and intricate details perfectly, allowing people to appreciate them the way they were intentionally created.
The opening day started off with a fun surf at our favourite spot and ended with a simultaneous epic sunset and full moonrise. The icing on the cake, times two...
From Indonesia and Australia to Portugal and Cornwall, this new collection explores the elements of some of my favourite places on earth... as well as the concept of 'home' as a feeling, our body and this planet as a whole.
