For the past couple of weeks, Judy and I have been working on a project together that we're super proud to finally share with you.
In a way, the making of these paintings started ten years ago, when we almost literally bumped into each other in a local warehouse. Soon we connected, through our views on life, our terrible sense of humour and our passion for creating. While we've taken different paths, lived in countries far away from each other and express ourselves through different art forms; the connection remains. Our RESIN X POETRY project is the tangible result of two women – now an artist and a writer – who once accidentally bumped into each other.

For thousands of years, poets have been inspired by the visual arts and artists have been inspired by poetry. Our collaboration takes this inspiration to the next level, through combining resin art with the power of words. These two art forms merge together in nine unique and original 20 cm ø (7,9 inch ø) paintings, aimed to create a whole new depth. Judy: "With a brain that was always spinning and a sensitivity I couldn’t keep under wraps, writing became my way of making sense of the world. Soon, the blogs, lyrics and short stories I wrote, made way for poetry – an art form that allowed me to truly express myself. Like a lot of artists, nature is one of my biggest sources of inspiration. The ocean holds metaphors that we can’t find in an ordinary textbook. Although Zee and I create in different ways, the way that we see and experience nature is quite similar, and I feel this project is the perfect way to showcase this."
