T H E L A D Y I named this piece after one of mine and my customer's favourite surf spots in Indonesia. I absolutely loved creating this one, as the depth and textures are the kind that I once only dreamed of being able to achieve. 'The Lady' is a surf break that you must approach with humility and determination... she can be smooth and gentle but when she's angry, she will swallow you whole and scrape your skin raw. T I D E P O O L & D U S K These two smaller circles were commission pieces for a lovely couple in France. 'Tide Pool' is a deep turquoise and emerald green aerial-inspired painting, covered in layers of breaking wave details and hints of gold. 'Dusk' is a super deep layered slice in the same aerial view style, using pure ocean blues with iridescent turquoise and sparkling silver accents. T H E B A Y & P A S S A G E 'The Bay' was requested by a customer in Germany who showed me some reference photos from another surf spot in Lombok. Crystal clear turquoise waves breaking over copper coral reef sections, The Bay is a souvenir that will keep bringing back memories of her magical surf sessions. I created 'Passage' at the same time as 'The Bay', as I wanted to give my customer the choice between the two. 'Passage' sold within two hours yesterday and is going to Seattle.
