While working on custom orders for our Resin X Poetry II project, we decided to create a few bonus pieces to put up for sale.
Our ‘WITHIN’ collection features five 20 cm Ø pieces that have been inspired by the whirlwind of things going on in the world right now; a powerlessness that we can all feel in situations beyond our control.
When there is no way out – go within
Using layered resin with intricate details, Zee created a depth to match Judith's simplistic yet profound words. Waves on the surface are known for their roughness and unpredictability, while the bottom of the ocean is often deemed the most tranquil place on earth. Maybe that is the analogy that the merging of these artforms is trying to convey; after all, we humans consist of different layers too, and the deeper we dive inwards, the more we find that peace was never an outside job to begin with.
